Hibiscus Girls

"I put off painting[this] for quite awhile, afraid that I would botch the flowers."

Hibiscus Girls

Here are two sisters from the Embera tribe in the Darien, both sporting hibiscus wreaths and brightly-colored wrap-around skirts.

The painting is based on a photo taken a couple of years ago by a friend of one of my regular customers.  I put off trying this

painting for quite a while, afraid that I would botch the flowers... but I think they turned out pretty well.

On linen canvas measuring 22x28 inches.
